Beach vacation packing essentials
Partager
Between swimsuits, accessories, and small unexpected items, packing your beach bag requires a minimum of organization. Here is our complete checklist to make sure you don't forget anything this summer.
1. Swimsuits: at least two styles
Having two swimsuits in rotation allows each to dry properly between uses, and thus to last longer. Think about varying styles: a one-piece for swimming and sports, a bikini for lounging and tanning.
2. Sarong or beach cover-up
Essential for covering up out of the water, protecting yourself from the sun, or simply adding a touch of style to your beach look. A lightweight linen sarong remains a safe bet for summer.
3. Sun protection
Sunscreen adapted to your skin type, protective lip balm, and possibly an after-sun oil: protection is not limited to a single application, remember to bring enough for the day.
4. A hat and sunglasses
In addition to being a style accessory, a hat protects the face and scalp. Sunglasses protect the eyes while perfectly complementing a beach outfit.
5. An absorbent beach towel
Opt for a microfiber towel: lighter, it dries quickly and takes up little space in your bag.
6. A kit for wet hair
Hair ties, clips, or a scarf: something to easily tie up hair after swimming, especially in windy or hot conditions.
7. A water bottle and a mister
Staying hydrated is essential in hot weather. A water mister also allows you to cool down quickly between swims.
8. A waterproof bag for wet items
Practical for isolating a wet swimsuit or damp items from the rest of your personal belongings, without getting everything in your bag wet.
